Preview before reconciling offline work

When reconciling offline work, you can now preview the results before performing the reconcile action. To see a preview of the expected outcome, right-click a workspace directory, select Reconcile Offline Work, and choose Preview.

Save and reuse search filters for submitted changelists

Save time and enhance efficiency when searching submitted changelists. Save and reuse your search filters on the Submitted changelist tab when using the P4 Search integration.

Improved usability for changelist reviews

Review pending or submitted changelists without expanding them. When viewing a changelist, use the new Open Files, Files, and Jobs sub-tabs in the Details section. See the open files for pending changelists, the submitted files for submitted changelists, and the jobs associated with a changelist.

To view the number of items on the new sub-tabs, enable the Show item count on the buttons for the detail sections option in the Display category in the Preferences dialog box.

Submit Changelist dialog box enhancements

The Submit Changelist dialog box has several enhancements:

  • Get a clearer overview of your changelist, especially when working with large number of files. The Submit Changelist dialog box now shows the total number of files, including the number of files selected to submit. It also displays the size of each file and the total size of all files you are submitting. To learn more, see Submit changelists.

  • To improve performance and simplify the Submit Changelist dialog box, you can now hide or show the Diff Summary and Jobs tabs.

Other enhancements

  • Save time and reduce errors when filtering by users, owners, or depots. The following filters now support auto-complete, which eliminates the need to browse lists or remember exact names.

    • User filter in the Pending and Submitted tabs.

    • Owner filter in the Streams, Labels, Workspaces, and Branches tabs.

    • Depot filter in the Streams and Stream Graph tabs.

  • Quickly find any user in the improved Select User dialog box, which now features a simple search.

  • Improved error reporting now provides clear information when a file cannot be checked out or marked for add. If a file has an exclusive lock or is already opened by another user, you can see who locked or opened the file.

  • When editing a workspace mapping as text, find specific lines by using the Find dialog box. Use the Ctrl+F (Windows) / Command+F (macOS) keyboard shortcuts to open the dialog box.

  • View sync progress when switching a workspace between streams.

  • Improved usability for customizable column listings. When adding a column from the column header context menu, the new column is now inserted to the right of the column you clicked to open the menu instead of in an arbitrary location.
