What's new in P4 Admin 2025.2

Released: June 2025

For a complete list of what’s new and bug fixes in this release, see the release notes.

Helix Core is now P4

Perforce has a new look and logo that reflects our place in DevOps workflows. As part of these changes, Helix Core is now P4. Name updates and new icons to align with the P4 branding will be rolled out soon. To learn more, see Re-Introducing P4.

Automatically log out users based on inactivity

For increased security, automatically log out users from P4 Server based on inactivity. This minimizes security risk while a ticket is still valid and a user leaves their computer. If an authenticated user remains active, the session is not interrupted when a ticket expires. To set the duration before log out, in the Group dialog box, set the Duration before idle session times out (seconds) value.

To learn more, see Idle server timeout.

Improved user filtering with comma-separated names and browse option

To filter users on the Users and Groups tab, you can now enter a list of usernames separated by commas to more efficiently refine the results. To search for and select users without manually entering names, click Browse.

To learn more, see Search and filter.

Support for additional security levels

For enhanced security, set additional P4 Server security levels that were previously unavailable in P4 Admin. To learn more, see About the P4 Admin Home page.
